“Life is the art of drawing sufficient conclusions from insufficient premises”
— Samuel Butler
In simple terms, a bubble is present when optimism about an area of human activity becomes so strong, so powerful, that caution and common sense are temporarily suspended, and a collective belief in the rosy scenario overtakes everything else. And with sorrow we live in a time of too many bubbles.
The "World's Bubble" as a title to my site was surely intended to indicate the false and fragile surroundings which we are living inside nowadays. And this title as an expression, means the impracticable and illusory ideas, which - with sorrow - is the present environment formulating most of us in their way of reasoning things, and in their way to live their own and social lives.
When some scheme described by a "bubble", it means it is a speculative scheme that comes to nothing; and if an idea is a "bubble", that means a fantastic or impracticable idea. However a "bubble" has an important role in mineral processing technology, namely, in Froth Flotation Process.
Froth Flotation is a highly versatile method for physically separating particles, based on differences in the ability of air bubbles to selectively adhere to specific mineral surfaces in a mineral / water slurry. The particles with attached air bubbles are then carried to the surface and removed, while the particles that remain completely wetted stay in the liquid phase.
